Game Updates

The Summer Fun is just getting started, as we have just released some game updates based upon player feedback. Here's what's new: - Sleeping Toons will now auto-reply to whispers. - Toons who pass in battles will no longer receive ToonTask credit. Also, the battle screen will let players know who is passing during a Cog battle. - Cattlelogs have been changed to display the lowest costing items first. These are just some of the changes we are making to Toontown based upon player feedback, and thanks to the Toontown Improvement Project -- there are more on the way. I do not think that toons in battles that pass do not recieve credit that is not fair. what about if they dont have any gags?

Thanks for making these changes! The new battle passing rule in particular should help to curb some of the problems related to toons that Join a Battle and don't use gags just to get credit.

I absolutely love the new updates. Now we know who is passing and when, Best of all toons that jump into a battle just to get the credits and pass without helping won't get the task credit. Codos Toontown.

you should still allow toons to pass and still get credit because what if the other toons chose gags that will defeat that cog and they know it and they dont want to waste there gags

Hi. I like ethe game updates except for one. Sometimes when I pass, it's because the gags that were picked were effective and didn't need mine. So how is that fair that I don't get toonrtask credit for that cog? Just because you pass once doesn't mean you didn't contribute anything to that cog's defeat before. I'm just a little annoyed about that one thing.

You will receive credit as long as you participate in a Cog Battle. If you do not use a gag at any time during a Cog Battle, then you will not receive credit. So, you can still use your gags strategically.

Yay! Toontown has made useful changes! These changes are very good because if you have a very good friend that's sleeping, or want to talk with a random Toon that's sleeping, they can talk to you, even if they are asleep! Also, if you pass during a battle, you won't get Toontask credit. Why? Because you let other Toons do the work. If you don't have gags, that's okay. But if you do, you should use them....... TO SAVE TOONTOWN! The "no" sign that appears when you pass is also cool. Lastly, I really have no problem with the Cattlelog, even though it is handy. Why? because we don't want to flip pages to find the lowest price. I'm already making bargains! Thank you Toontown, for making these changes! Toons of the World Unite! Your 36 Laffer, Sheriff J.C.

I personally do not like the Toons who pass in battles will no longer receive ToonTask credit thing. Sometimes when players lag they don't have time to choose the gag,and when other toons attack and all cogs are defeated,the lagging toon receive no credit.
Also,I have heard of that calling your doodle,calling a SOS toon and firing a cog does not count as attacking.

I have the bestest idea ever! When your in battle with cogs there are toons who whisper mean things and the like and then teleport or run away before your done with the cog or dancing, then your not able to write the toon or report the toon for anything, I think toontown should make it fair and be able to report people even in battle, if they are whispering mean things. Let's keep toontown friendly happy and safe.

I think it would be very neat! If you can send jellybeans and item's you own to your other toons, that would be nice. If your full on jellybeans maybe the extra ones can be sent to your other toon in the five houses you own.

That is so awesome I mean sometimes i really want to be toons friends and them i ask them or whisper and nothing happens so i waste like ten minutes waiting for them to say yes! I like all of these updates, for multiple reasons.
The passing update: I get used a lot in battle, so this prevents easy advancing/piggy backing
The whisper update: I hate it when I whisper to a friend, waiting for a reply, unaware they are sleeping.
Overall: 10/10!!!

I think the auto-whisper when a toon is afk is a really cool feature. Also, I like the feature that the toons who pass the entire time in a battle, get no Task credit. On my other toon, that happens alot. :)

The auto-reply from sleeping toons is kinda kewl although it doesnt reply to all whispers as in when u whisper a "My Phrase" whisper.
I'm not sure i understand the no toontask credit if u pass in battles. What is the purpose of the pass button or the "You Should Pass" phrase under Battle Strategy if you dont get credit when u pass? can u pass at anytime & still get credit? i'm confused by the update and dont get the purpose of it. Why not just delete the pass button if u dont want toons to pass?

I love the auto-reply to whispers!!! It helps a LOT! Except the pass thing kinda stinks. There should be some way to make you use your gags if you have them, cuz some people just make YOU do the work, so there should be a thing that says like, "You have gags. Please choose a gag.". Because sometimes you forget to get gags when you do a factory, and another toon thinks your not helping, and your task is to defeat a Factory, and say that you had plus but they didn't so they don't understand, and then a whisper can tell them that you don't have any gags. Toontown rocks!!! Toons of the world UNITE!!!

I think there should be a limit on the passes.
For instance,
when a group of toons with maxxed gags do a factory run, not all of the toons need to use a gag each cog battle.
We are all working together, but one of us may pass, so now we don't get credit.
How about a limit depending on the situation?
No passes during street battles.
One pass a floor in buildings.
Etc.

A "Cog Battle" is defined as the time between a Toon entering an encounter until the final Victory Dance. Since Cog HQs (Factory runs) are one long Cog Battle, you will still receive credit as long as you use your gags during at least some of the fights. Soon this will also include Boss Battles and Buildings.

I like the new changes except the Cattlelog one because some of the Toons that have been playing Toontown for about 2-3 years or more (like me) will have trouble adapting to the new Cattlelog. I'm not saying that the Cattlelog change should be reversed back to the original way; just that 'older' Toons might still have some trouble adapting to this change.
